Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I just read that lyrica has a corn product on the shell. My autistic son has sensitivity to corn but has just started taking Lyrica for seizures. He was started on only 25mg but we hope to reduce other mess and increase Lyrica as it does not seem to effect his balance. Does it in fact have corn in it or on it and is there another way to take it without that coating?
Taking without shell is not good for your health. It may cause wastage of drug and lost its slowly releasing property lead to wastage and side effects. So take with shell. I think I answered to your question if you have more questions feel free to ask. It will come of 25, 50 and 75 mg strength also so take it and consume.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
