Infectious Diseases Specialist 's  Response
Hello, Thnx to contact us. If I am your treating doctor I would like to advice you that MRSA infection is contagious but only if it comes in to your contact and only if the adequate numbers of bacilli are inoculated on the surface. As you are receiving the low dose prednisolone and also eczema your body has nidus to be get infected with the MRSA. I advice you to take stringent hygienic care if you find anything that shows nidus for infection immediately start the drug vancomycin under guidance of local doctor. If you have anything else to ask please contact me. Thanx. Dr. Arun Tank
