Can Meformin 1 And Glipizide Be Taken At The Same Time?
Hello;) I am taking Meformin 1,ooo MG I forgot what the doctor said when to take a GLIPIZIDE this is a new medication he gave me to bring my sugar level down but I am afraid to take any other medication so im really nervous about taking it ..do I take them together?
It appears that your blood glucose was not controlled with METFORMIN hence your doctor added GLIPIZIDE along with Metformin for restoring your normal blood glucose.
Taken together these two drugs improve the different metabolic defects found in type 2 diabetes. Glipizide lowers blood glucose primarily by causing more of the body’s own insulin to be released, and Metformin lowers blood glucose, in part, by helping your body use your own insulin more effectively. Together, they are efficient in helping you achieve better glucose control.
Hope the information given above could be useful to you.
