Can Methadone Be Taken To Replace Morphine Sulfate And Oxycodone?

My doctor has changed my pain meds from methadone to 12 hr morphine sulf 30mg , with short acting Oxycodone mg if the other isn t effective @ relieving my pain. However neither is working to relieve my pain but instead is causing severe headaches, nausea, loss of appetite, & lack of sleep. Can I go back to the Mthadone 20 mg or do I need something else?

Hello,

If you are not having any effects with the medicine that is being changed and headache is still there, as you said that the medicine called Methadone was relieving the headache then you can go and start taking that drug only.

It is nothing wrong if you go back to Methadone again.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
