Hello,

Welcome to HCM
Norco is a combination of acetaminophen and hydrocodone. Hydrocodone is an opioid pain medication. An opioid is sometimes called a narcotic.
Drowsiness and sleepiness are well recognised side effects.
The use of alprazolam increases the sleepiness.
If your knee pain is not severe, you can stop the Norco and take Tylenol or some other simple analgesic to reduce the sleepiness.
If you have further queries you can find me on the web.
Best wishes,
Dr Noble Zachariah
