Hi,
It is generally safe to take Norco,
simvastatin, and amlodipine-
benazepril together, but it is important to follow the dosage instructions provided by each of your healthcare providers. Norco contains a combination of
acetaminophen and
hydrocodone, which can cause
drowsiness, dizziness, and respiratory depression. You should avoid alcohol while taking Norco as it can increase these side effects. Mobic, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), can also cause
stomach upset and increase the risk of bleeding.
Simvastatin and amlodipine-benazepril are both used to manage
high cholesterol and blood pressure. It is important to take these medications as prescribed and not exceed the recommended dose. Simvastatin should be taken at bedtime, as this is when cholesterol production is highest. Amlodipine-benazepril can be taken with or without food but should be taken at the same time each day to maintain consistent blood levels.
When taking multiple medications, monitoring for any potential interactions or side effects is important. Be sure to inform all of your healthcare providers about your medications, including over-the-counter medications and supplements. Your healthcare providers can work together to ensure that your medications are safe and effective, and may adjust dosages or schedules if necessary.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Priyanka, General & Family Physician
