Hello,
Thank you for your query.
I am very sorry to hear about your loss. Losing both your parents is just unimaginable. May their souls rest in peace.
This emotional stress will definitely affect your
metabolism and hormone levels. Please take your time to grieve. The journey of trying to conceive needs you as a whole.
So wait till you are sure you are ready.
Norethisterone is a contraceptive/
hormone replacement pill, sometimes given to regulated menstrual cycles in those whose cycles are irregular while trying to get pregnant.
This can bring about a balance in the hormone levels once the cycle is over. You cannot get pregnant while on this.
Once you stop this, your period is expected within 5-7 days. The next cycle is then monitored to check if ovulation occurs.
Ovulation usually occurs in the middle third of your cycle (day 10 - 20)in 30 day cycle. It is different for everyone. There is a wide range of "Normal".
Use
basal body temperature monitoring
And
ovulation prediction kits to pinpoint ovulation day and fertile period.
Have intercourse every alternate day atleast during the middle third of your cycle.
This works if you have regular cycles. If your cycles are irregular or longer than 35 days, see a fertility specialist for a
follicular study, ultrasound.
If you don't conceive in a year (below age 30)or 6 months (above age 30), see a specialist to check for hormonal imbalances and
semen analysis for your husband.
Maintain healthy diet and sleep habits. Exercise regularly. Hope you conceive soon. I'd be happy to help if you have any further queries.
Wish you good health
