Can Norvasc, Lisinopril And Labetalol Cause Pain In The Legs?

Hi, I recently had a TIA secondary to hypertension. I have never had leg cramps, but now I do walking long stretches. I am physically fit, and do not want this to effect my job. There are mornings that I wonder if I will make it to my office. I am on Norvasc, Lisinopril and Labetalol. Was taking HCTZ but stopped a week or two ago. My MD is sending me out a lab slip to check K and Mg, haven t had done as yet. But wondered if it could be side effects from my medicine.

Lisinopril can have some effect on electrolyte levels especially potassium. It usually causes hyperkalemia that is an increase in potassium levels. This may cause muscle weakness. Inwould suggest you to wait for the laboratory results. Norvasc(amlodipine) and labetalol are highly unlikely to cause severe muscle symptoms.
If the laboratory results turn out be normal, then I would suggest a consultation by a vascular surgeon to rule out any peripheral vascular disease. Hope this information helps you. Thanks.
