hi, my boyfriend and I were playing around and he put his penis in my vagaina and he had precum. I got really scared and I took plan b pill the next day. I was expecting my period on the 26 and all this happen the 27 which means I was one day late already after the incident happen. I m wondering if plan b pill will make this month period not to happen till next??
Plan B is an emergency contraception that is taken within 72 hours after unprotected sexual intercourse. Plan B contains levonorgestel hormones. These are the same hormones found in the common birth control pill, but Plan B contains a higher dose of levonorgestel hormones since you are only meant to take it once. The higher dose of hormones cause prevention of egg implantation and fertilization by altering the lining of uterus. It also prevents ovulation. It is fairly common for Plan B to alter menstrual cycle and even the flow due to large dose of hormones that u have already taken. Menstrual period may come later or earlier than you expected and you might experience a heavier or lighter flow than your normal flow, but there is no need to worry since Plan B is very safe to consume.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
