Can Prednisone Cause Headache And Nausea?

My daughter has been on higher doses of prednisone for a yet diagnosed ailment but had also developed Bell's Palsy. She is at the end of a regiment of 60 mg for 3 days 50 for 3 etc...she is done to her last 2 10 mg tabs. She has a horrible headache, feels very out of it and nauseous - just feels awful. Can prednisone have these affects and can she take tylenol for the headache

Hello
As you mentioned that your daughter is taking prednisolone and gradually reducing the doses .
Now she is feeling nausea , headache ( excruciating ) .
Prednisolone is an intermediate glucocorticoids and in FEW case it causes acute erosive gastritis during intensive therapy as in your daughter case .
Since this is an intensive therapy , so it was necessary .
When patient develop gastritis they also complain of headache and nausea .
In such case Tylenol is the best medicine as well as she can take pantoprazole-d ( until & unless not contraindicated ).
Good luck.
