hi, i was pregnant2 months before but by chance it miscarriage and now after dnc my first period came with heavy bleeding and clotting but they did not stop ,i consult my doctor she gave me primolut n for 21 days i want to ask with this medicine my perion duration get normal or not?
Hi dear Thanks for writing to Health Care Magic team!! Sorry to hear about the miscarriage. Primolut contains a hormone progesterone helps in regularising menstruation and also to prevent miscarriage and stabilisation. After surgical procedure like D&C irregular bleeding are common so you have been prescribed primolut, it is usually given for 8 weeks to stabilise the menstrual pattern so in between you might get spots, bleeding, tenderness of breast, heaviness but it will be temporary and treatable. As long as you are taking primolut under gynaecologist observation it is safe. Hope this will solve your doubts. Regards Dr.Sohil takodara
