Can STDs Be Transmitted Through Unprotected Sexual Intercourse?

hello my name is lydia bentley, i slept with a man a couple of week ago. and he was a gypsy/traveller the thing is alotof people know him,and they say he has a reputation. and apparently has chlamydia. i was on my period when we had sexual intercourse and we didnt use any proection. im very very worried please can you help?

Yes,STD's are transmitted by unprotected intercourse.
Since this guy is a traveler, if might be having sexually transmitted diseases(STDS) and might have HIV
If I were your treating doctor, I would advice you to visit an STD clinic and do a test named VDRL AND HIV TEST.
I would like to advice you in future, to practice safe sex with condoms.Espcially being a women you have higher risker to getting infections.
