Can Saphris 5mg Be Effective If Taken Once A Day?

I was just started on Saphris 5mg daily for bipolar disorder. All the literature I read is that it should be taken twice daily (either 5mg twice daily or 10mg twice daily). Can it be effective if only taken once daily----I have been on it a week with Latuda 20mg daily. But now I am only on the Saphris 5mg daily (at hs). I was started on this by someone in the mental health practice who has treated me for 12 years.

Saphris 5mg can be the maintenance dose for those patients of bipolar disorder who are settled on this drug.
I would suggest you to revisit your doctor and discuss this. 5mg is a minimal dose and might cause relapse of symptoms.
