Can Scheriproct Be Used For Anal Discomfort After Taking Albendazole?

Hi. I am Ben from Nairobi, Kenya. I have a friend with pin worms. I advised her to take single dose of Albendazole tablet and repeat the same after two weeks. She complains of discomfort around the anal region. Can she use Scheriproct ointment for some symptomatic relief ?

Hi,

The discomfort around the anal region may be due to worm load and not due to albendazole. She can try Scheriproct for symptomatic relief. If she feels severe itching, she can take antihistamines like Pheniramine also.
