Can Silver Nitrate Gel 0.2%w/w Be Used To Treat Burns?
Hi, I have burn on my finger due to hot ghee since last 1 week. And i need to know that silver nitrate gel 0.2%w/w is suitable for burn injury or not ,Or is it remove the burn part or not please help me, I am worried about it Thanks and regard Sheetal
I understand ur concern....yes! silver nitrate gel do help in case of burn injuries. but only in superficial burns. By the history u hav given, it suggests that u r probably having only a superficial burn. so, u can continue using dat gel for 10 days, morning n night application.
u shud observe ur wound daily if it is getting any pus (yellowish discharge) Bcoz this indicates secondary infection. if u get it then u better visit ur doctor for further management. remember not to peel/ scratch/ prick over ur injury as this may lead to infection.
hope ur queries r cleared... take care n wish u a speedy recovery!!!
