Can Simvastatin Cause Sudden Pressure In Neck And Weakness And Tiredness?

I am a 67-year-old woman, I take medication for hypertension and Simvistatin for high cholesterol. I have no history of heart disease and am generally healthy. For the past month I have been experiencing incidences of sudden pressure in the neck right below my ears, then flushing in my face, accompanied by nausea and then overall weakness and tiredness. This lasts for about half an hour, usually in the mornings; I have taken my blood pressure during these times and it doesn t seem to be affected. Could the Sinvistatin be causing this? I take it in the morning and not in the evening (I was waking up dizzy and that stopped when I started taking the Simvistatin at night). Recently the symptoms were severe and I went to my local hospital emergency room; they tell me my heart is fine but could not tell me anything else that might be causing my symptoms. Any ideas?
