I have been taking .05mg synthriod for 6 monthes and in the past few days my feet and ankles and calves have been swelling up. could this be a sign of wrong dosage? I have also been taking naproxen for the last month for chronic back pain but only otc aleve two per day 200mg. could this be a cause of the swelling? Or what else might it be?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Synthroid and naproxen doesn’t cause limb edema. It might be due to some other cause. Check your thyroid function test as hypothyroidism may cause limb edema. If edema persist for long, it is better to get evaluated and you have to consult a physician for the same.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain
