I am a 49 yr old female and although I have TMJ it's been getting a lot better and doesn't bother me as much now. The last few days I have had tenderness in my left temple when I touch it and some tingling that goes from my temple to my eye. Could this be the TMJ or something else that I should have looked at?
thanks for the query, the tenderness in the temporal region could be because of the TMJ disorder. this causes protective cocontraction of the muscles of mastication. if i am your treating doctor, i would have suggested to take analgesic with muscle relaxant and advised hot fomentation over the muscles. take soft diet..i hope my answer will help you, take care.
