Can Tamsulosin Be Crushed And Given Through A J-tube?

My husband is using a J tube for everything, nothing by mouth. Shortly before inserting the J tube he was prescribed Tamsulosin , .4 MG daily for his prostate. This is in capsule form. The question is can I open the capsule and crush for use in J tube? And what time of day, etc.

You can give Tamsulosin through j-tube at the usual time. All of his routine drug can be given similarly and there is nothing wrong in giving crushed pills through the j-tube as ultimately all will reach stomach.
