Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am 59 yrs.old having blood sugar...it increase to 170-188after lunch...my doctor incresed the dose from trivolib 1 to trivoliv 2 in noon and trivolib 1 in morning &at dinner. Should I contiue telma h 40 for BP....or it has some reaction with this medicine....
Hello Now you are taking trivolive 2 in the noon i.e. glemipiride + voglibose + metformin. While trivoliv1 ( glemipiride+ voglobose ) in the morning and evening. You are also taking telmisartan+ hydrochorthiazide for high blood pressure . If hydrochlorthiazide used concomitantly with oral hyoglycemic agent it interfere in the action of anti diabetic drugs. Impaired control of diabetes by oral hyoglycemic agents , so be careful. Hydrocholothiazide also increase the cumulative effect of metformin . In my opinion as these both type drugs necessary for you so take tablets at least 2-3 hours gap . Consult your treating physician and discuss all these things. Hope this will help you.
