Can Tetrycyline Increase The Lead Levels?

Hi, In 2012 my sister had lead level of 3 and now she has 24. One year ago she was treated with tetrycyline for Lyme. After two spinal taps, decided she did not have Lyme. She took tetrycyline for one year, Could that of increased her lead level? Erica

TETRACYCLINE is an antibiotic used for bacterial infections. the side effcts are kidney damage, liver damage, damage to teeth and bones, diabetes insipidus, gastrointestinal side effects etc. taking tetracycline for one year could have damged kidney or liver, causing lead level to rise. please get a liver function test and kidney function test done. if the reports are normal then your doctor need to find out the cause for increased lead levels
