Hi
Welcome to the healthcaremagic
It depends on the cause of hypothyroidism.Whether it is transient or permanent. Get her investigated for thyroid antibodies,USG thyroid and radio isotop scan of thyroid gland. If thyroid gland is not found on scan then lifelong thyronorm will be required. In autoimmune cases you can try to reduce and stop thyronorm after 2years.If it is transient due to maternal antibodies then it can be tapered and stopped at this age under proper supervision
Happy to help you
