Can Tramadol Intake Cause False Positive Urine Test Result For Suboxone?

Hi....I am trying to adopt my nephew, and my spouse and I were both drug tested via urine from the state of Florida. He is prescribed Tramadol. My urine was clean, his urine tested positive for Subuxone. Both of us smoke, I smoke cigarettes, he smokes black and milds. Can tramadol test positive on a urine? Can tramadol be mistaken for subuxone?

suboxone and tramadol belong to similar group of compound, therefore a false positive tests are very likely in this case, however it depends lot on the specificity of the screening tests done.
