Can UTI Cause Back Pain?

Hello, Last week I had a UTI that I thought I got rid of naturally by drinking lots water and eating yogurt. This week the left side of my lower back is extremely sore. My urine has been sort of cloudy. I am wondering if the UTI is connected to the lower back pain.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

It probably is, and it could indicate pyelonephritis. I suggest you see your doctor for a physical examination, urgently if you have a fever.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Anders Mark Christensen, General Surgeon
