Can UTI Pills Delay The Bleeding In Periods Though Cramping And Brown Stains Have Started?

hi,i have been on some UTI pills for some days now and my period is supposed to come between yesterday and next tomorrow,as of yesterday there were some brown strains and abdominal cramping which i felt was the onset of my period but hours later as unexpected,my period didnt come. Please can i know the reason for this,thanks..

The menstrual cycle can sometimes be altered by physical illness or stress.

If you are currently fighting an infection then, it is possible that the illness is reason for your period delay.

If you are sexually active, it would also be important to rule out pregnancy.

The other causes of a delay in the period are: emotional stress, abnormal levels of thyroid hormone, high levels of a hormone called prolactin, extreme physical activity, polycystic ovarian sydrome.
