Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello sir, my mother is 53 yrs old and she has diabetes and bp problem. Since morning she is feeling high dizziness whatever times she gets up from bed. Doctor advised to take Vertin 8MG for 3 days. Is it fine? Is there any side effects? Please do let me know if u need further details.
Vertin 8mg contains betahistine that is used in the treatment and prevention of inner ear disorder called Meniere's disease and its associated complications like vertigo, loss of hearing, ringing in the ears etc. But like other medications this medication has some side effects of its own. Side effects are nausea, vomiting, headache, indigestion, bloating, abdominal pain, sleeping problems, rapid heartbeat, allergic reactions etc. Most of these side effects are mild and usually go away over time as the body adjusts to this medication. In case these side effects persist for long or bother you, you should consult your doctor for medical help.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Zubayer Alam, General And Family Physician
