Can Vertin Be Taken While On Clonazepam For Tinnitus And Dizziness?

I struggle with tinnitus in my left ear, also causes occasional dizziness followed by vomiting. I am taking clonazepam .50 mg. Yesterday I had bout of dizziness. I have vertin 8 mg can I take this medicine when I have dizziness or should it be taken regularly. Thank you

Hello,

Clonazepam interacts with medications that cause drowsiness or breathing problems like cough relievers, sedatives like alprazolam, lorazepam, muscle relaxants like, cyclobenzaprine, carisoprodol & antihistamines.

Vertin is Meclizine, an antihistamine, to avoid serious side effects it is better not to take both the medications together. Keep you treating doctor informed so that the medications or doses can be altered.

For tinnitus & dizziness, Vertin is generally prescribed to be taken on a regular basis along with bed rest. Consult your treating doctor about Clonazepam.
