Hello, I brought some warticon for some warts and I was wondering if I could use it on a verruca? I have got one thats very sore on my foot and maybe two more and they ve been untreated thinking they would go away however they haven t.Is warticon cream safe too use on the veruccas or do i need a different cream?
Warticon contains Podophyllotoxin. It is a good treatment modality for the genital warts. you can use for plantar warts also.
You have mentioned about the soreness in the lesions. If the pain is sever it may be due to secondary infection of the lesion may corns.
In this scenario i would like to go with topical preparations containing salicylic acid (17%) and Lactic acid (17%). It should be applied every night on the lesions. It has the Keratolytic properties and will work in both warts or corns. Also take T. Brufen Twice daily to reduce the pain.
Although a consultation with dermatologist is necessary for confirmed diagnosis and management.
