Xanax (Alprazolam) is a short-acting benzodiazepine and is often prescribed before many procedures to allay anxiety/for conscious sedation in some individual who appears apprehensive. Many investigative/ therapeutic procedures are performed, ideally after light sedation if the patient is conscious. Nuclear stress test is undertaken under presence & guidance of Physician. Hence you need not worry.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
