Can Zyrtek And Zantac Cause Weight Gain?
I recently was diagnosed with dermagraphism and was told to take one zyrtec at night and two zantac during the day. I am excercising faithfully one hour every day and have recently added pilates and yoga. I have gained almost seven pounds in the last three weeks. In your opinion, do you think zyrtek and zantac can have a weight gain affect? Thank you! Jan

Hello.Ranitidine and Cetirizine are drugs with antihistamine effect. One of the major side effects of antihistamines drugs are increased appetite and consequently weight gain. Decrease the dose of the drugs, practicing physical exercise and follow a low calorie diet are possible solutions.
