Can A CBC Blood Test Determine The Cause Of Chronic Hives?
Dr. Mintz, I have cronic hives. I am a healthy 73 year old female--I take no medication just vitamins. Will a CBC blood test show what the cause might be? My Internist retired and I do not have a doctor at this time.An Allergist diginoised the cronic hives. Thank you for your time and knowledge.

CBC is done in urticaria to find out the count of eosinophils in blood.
These cells are concerned with allergy.
An absolute eosinophil count will be much better also get serum IgE levels checked.
