Can A UTI Effective Person Shows Symptoms Of Seizures?

hi my Mom is 84 years old and had symptons of Sezuries and the Nuroligist thougth she had CJD creutzfeldt-jakob disease. we believe she either had a mini stroke ( altough nothing appear on the MRI) the CSF Central Spinal Fluid came back negative. she had however a UTI from Sept 11 until last week, it could have been even longer.

My question is, Can a UTI effective a person to have sezuires is there any relationship to the brain and a UTI in an elderly female, thanks Anna

I really appreciate your concern, some time urinary tract infection may cause seizure if this is serious, and have high grade fever with vomiting and electrolyte imbalance then this may cause seizure but this is distinctive from other seizures like epilepsy, hope this information helps.
