Can A Brain Surgery Cause Depression While On Zoloft And Gabapentin?

I have been seen by a psychiatrist in Hanford California who has prescribed hormone treatment, iron supplements and several other medications for the treatment of my depression. I am skeptical about taking anything until I get blood tests done. My chemistry is extremely sensitive to a variety of medications. I am currently on Zoloft and Gabopentin. Also can brain surgeries impact your psychological and emotional balance. I had two for a benign Pituitary Adenoma.

*Any brain insult (Trauma,infection,inflamation,tumour,metabolic disturbance,harmonal imbalance) can lead to Psychiatric symptoms
*In such case treatment of underlying cause will improve psychiatric symptoms
*Brain surgery is like a inducing trauma to the brain .So it can cause psychiatric symptoms
* Insuch case one has to weigh the pros & cons of the surgery & if warrnted & life saving ---Usually you may require to opt for surgery

in my opinion pituitary adenoma can cause depression

it would be necessary to to continue zoloft and gabapentin

also it would be worthwhile to seek psychologist opinion and have cognitive behavioural therapy sessions
