Can A Broken Blister On The Foot Be Cleaned With Sodium Hydroxide?
Type2 diabetes. Dime sized Blister on top of foot since yesterday. Should I pop it? Very slow healer...Should i remove the skin? Once popped do i cleane with wound cleaner or sodium hydroxide solution? Do i dry dress or dress with silver sulfadiazine cream?
You seem to have diabetic bulla. Rupture the bulla. Remove the serous or purulent fluid from it. Do not remove the skin. Clean with hydrogen peroxide liquid. Apply antibiotic like gentamicin.
Take an oral antibiotic and anti-inflammatory drugs after consulting the nearby doctor. Continue antidiabetic treatment.
