Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
i hurt my wrist on the third. I fell with an outstretched arm. I tried to push myself up with my hands and my left wrist hurt too much to put pressure on. Today on the sixth i cant put pressure on my left wrist or move it without a lot of pain. Is it broken?
Pain occuring in the wrist joint associated with movements might be due to a fracture involving the carpal bones, or due to soft tissue injury involving ligaments/tendons.
An xray of the wrist joint is necessary to rule out a fracture. MRI scan is needed to know the soft tissue injury. In the meantime, follow the RICE (rest, ice packing, compression & elevation) regime.
So, I suggest you to consult an orthopedic surgeon for a detailed evaluation and further definitive management.
Hope this information is helpful. Good day
