Can A Diabetic Patient With Renal Failure Have Lucazaide?
Hi my mother in law is a diabetic and has renal failure. she drinks a sports drink by the name of lucazaide .I know as a diabetic it had a lot of sugar and that s not got .my suspicion is that potassium wise this lucazaide sports drink is not got for someone with renal(I m guessing at this time chronic) failure. Please help me.

short answer she can take Alternatively Lucozade Original (not Lucozade Sport) detailed answer: the sports drink contains more protein and sugar which is not advisable to her as she is a diabetic and renal failure it will cause progressive kidney damage and will increase her sugar levels also.
