Can A Fall Cause Heart Attack And Subsequent Death?

Ok my dad, 58 years old with a recent clean bill of health from his dr. (other than slight enlarged prostate) with no prior heatlh problems, fell at work last friday & knocked himself unconscious. Other employees called 911 & started cpr, when paramedics arrived he was breathing, but still unresponsive. He did not make it, no autopsy was performed, the coroner stated that since there was no other likely reason it was 'probably' a heart attack, also said the fall is more than likely what caused it? Is this right, can a fall trigger or cause a heart attack, if so would you say the fall or the heart attack is the cause of death then? I miss my dad dearly & am just trying to clairfy all of the whys I guess because by the time I got the news & drove over 1000 miles to get to him all I got was this story from his co-workers & the hospital. Thanks in advance for any light you can shed on this to help me to understand.

Hi,

I read your query very carefully. My condolences for your father dead.

Based in your story the most probable case of his death is heart attack. The fall is due to cardiac arrest (ventricular fibrillation) and has low probability to be the cause of his death.

Hope this was of help!
