Can A Fish Oil Supplement Be Taken While On Pradaxa?

yes,thank you. A friend is on pradaxia for a fib, also taking a statin for dyslipidemia. Recent bllod work good except triglycerides were 400. His physician has deferred tx, recommends retesting in three months. Would starting on OTC fish oil be contraindicated? Thanks.

Hi,

Fish oil can be taken it does not interact with any one medicine, the only thing it has some indication for what it is being taken.

Taking it with no indication is useless and no benefit will be there, it is the non-pharmaceutical molecule so complete information is not available.

For the safe side if this is the cardiac elements are there then better to avoid such agent that does not have any indications.
