Can A Muscle Pull Cause Pain In The Upper Leg Radiating Towards The Knee?

Trying to determine a pain in my leg. It is the back of my upper leg from the inside of the thigh going down the leg to the outside above the knee. I have been stretching and trying to not do extra physical activity thinking I may have pulled a muscle. I have recently taken up playing pickle ball and I am 62. Do you think it is a pulled muscle and if so which one? Is ice or heat better?

Hi,

A muscle pull can cause a pain in upper leg radiating to the knee. You can heat the area and apply local analgesic gel-like Volini for relief.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Praveen Tayal,
