Can A Pregnancy Test Be Negative But I Still Miss My Period?
I was wondering if there could be a possibility that I could be pregnant or if there is something else wrong with me? The first day of my last period was Dec. 9. I was to get my period again on Jan. 12 and did not get it. A couple days before I was to get my period I was experiencing nausea, Tender nipples as well as a light pink discharge that lasted maybe a half hour. I have taken 3 home pregnancy tests all came back negative, yet I still have no period still experience nausea and the tender nipples are coming and going?
Hi, I have gone through your question. Delayed periods can be because of pregnancy or some hormonal disturbances in the body. Sometimes, the ovulation and conception is delayed, and thus the urine pregnancy test is positive a bit delayed after the missed period. I would suggest you to get your urine pregnancy test repeated after one week, and if it is still negative, then do consult OBGYN specialist for proper examination, investigation ( especially hormonal profile) and get treated accordingly. Hope you found the answer helpful. Wishing you good health. Regards, Dr Deepti verma
