General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi, I understand your concern. If you are pregnant, urine pregnancy test should be +ve after 8 days delay in period. You have _ ve test, meaning you are not pregnant. If any doubt can be cleared by blood HCG testing. -After delivery, the menstrual cycle is disturbed due to sudden withdrawal of pregnancy hormones, - Lactation interferes with menses & there is physiological absence/irregularity of menses during lactation. - Your irregular contraceptive must have aggravated the hormonal imbalance further. * due to either of the causes, you have no pregnancy but your period has stopped. Thanks.
