Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Irregular periods can be due to pregnancy or any hormonal disturbances like hypothyroidism, hyperprolactemia or polycystic ovarian disease. Negative urine pregnancy test rules out pregnancy. I would suggest her to consult an OBGYN specialist to get properly examined, investigated including hormonal profile and ultrasound and get appropriate treatment. Hope you found the answer helpful. Wishing you good health. Dr Deepti Verma
