Can A Pregnancy Test Be Negative But I Still Miss My Period?
I have missed my period for 4months now on Wednesday and date of LMP was January 14,2015 . I have numerous blood tests and pregnancy tests done, negative, negative, negative for diabetes and std s as well. I have had numerous side symptoms, nausea in the beginning cramping but no period, I have had really strong lower back pain, as well as thumping in my stomache that goes away within like 5 minutes or when someone else tries to feel.
Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Delayed periods can be due to pregnancy or any hormonal disturbances like hypothyroidism, hyperprolactemia or polycystic ovarian disease. If your urine pregnancy test is negative, then the pregnancy is ruled out. Moreover, you can get a ultrasound done to rule out pregnancy. If pregnancy is ruled out, you should get your hormonal profile done and further management should be done accordingly. Hope you found the answer helpful. Wishing you good health. Dr Deepti Verma
