Can A Scar Tissue At The Site Of Tonsil Removal Grow?
In 1976 I has my tonsils removed. On a routine check my ENT doctor said I had a tonsil on my right side, when I told her I had them both removed she said it could be scar tissue. I ve had my throat examined many times over the years and have never been diagnosed with scar tissue before. What would cause scar tissue to grow or to show up 40 years after having my tonsils removed?
Scar tissue cannot grow, but an incomplete removal of the tissue can lead to hypertrophy. Send me the picture of your throat so that I can suggest you better.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
