Can A Small Dose Of Marijuana Be Taken Before A Hip Replacement Surgery?

Hi, I m having hip replacement surgery & was told not to smoke anything before or directly after surgery as it will interact with sedation medicine. What about vaping a small amount of marijuana, acetaminophen is not dealing with my pain. I ve been on medical marijuana for several years until I lost all padding in the joint.

Hello,

Since they don't you to smoke anything before the surgery and vaping would be basically the same thing as it concerns the surgery, I would recommend you not use marijuana before your surgery, since you would not want to do anything that would interfere with the surgery and the healing afterwards.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
