Can A Tampon Be Lost Inside My Body?

Hi, I can't remember if I took my tampon out sat nite..!! I was out drinking w/my friends, and my bf came 2 pick me up at the club. I remember putting it in b4 I went out. It was the last day of my period, and didn't have much of anything...anyhow, after he picked me up, we went back to his place, and we had sex. I realized AFTER we had sex, that I 4got to take my tampon out!! So I tried to get it, and I can't find it!! Is it possible that I may have taken it out earlier in the night...?? I just don't remember, and I have tried to "search" for it, and can;t find anything!! I'm soo worried!! Also, wouldn't I have felt the tampon, or my bf would have felt it while we were having sex???

Hello there,
I can understand your concern. If the tampon was inside still you would have felt it while having intercourse. However considering you were drunk it is likely that you dint realise. If you searched for it and haven't found it, in most likelihood it is not inside. In my opinion there is nothing to panic as it is unlikely that the tampon is still inside. However it would be better to go to a gynaecologist who can conduct an examination and confirm that there is nothing wrong as leaving a tampon inside can lead to infections.
