Can A Tiny Lump Near Anus That Hangs Down Be Dangerous ?
Hi I have a tiny lump near my anus. It is skin colour although not an exact match. My best description would be like a rice krispy. It is not tight to the skin. It kind of hangs downs. It does not hurt to touch or squeeze. There is no pain, puss, blood etc. I am tempted to cut it off with nail clippers but I'm sure that will hurt.
I can understand your concern for the tiny lump near anus that hangs down from the site.
After reading your query there are two possibilities:
1. Skin tag
2. Sentinel pile
This area is quite common to get infected very easily because of sweating and high bacterial proliferation. Do not try to even touch or pinch the area as can cause more aggravation of the problem and spread of the infection.
You can meet a surgeon or a dermatologist for the best possibility of the condition. If it is a skin tag then it can be easily removed by cauterization process in minutes by a dermatologist. Take care.
