Can A Toddler With High Levels Of Methamphetamine In The System Be Active And Normal?
Can a child 20 months old have levels of meth at around 2800 ng/ml and still be an active normal happy baby. My child has never been in direct contact with the drug and if any contact ever existed it would have been through touchbof skin with a family member who was using. That is the toxicity level enough to kill an adult correct. And if by mistake it was really only 28 ng/ml then would that be enough even for concern enough to not allow that person around the child.
This is one of the substances of abuse! It is an illegal drug. Side effects include:
- high body temperature,
- heart arrhythmias,
- seizures,
- and bleeding in the brain.
Fortunately, contact with the skin of a user will not hurt your child. You were lucky this time. Not only is this person a danger to your young child, but he/she is a danger to himself/herself.
He/she needs to get into a drug rehab program as soon as possible. Yes, he/she should definitely not be around your son.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
