I am a diabetic and have ha my second toe amputated in Aug this year to much removed now am told I have to have it done on my other foot the third toe, my question is can the toe live if the infected bone is removed? I don t want to loose another toe.
It is important to judge if there is normal blood flow in this area, because if there is no blood flow, the toe should be removed too. You should discuss with your doctor on this issue.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
