Can Abnormal Acne Be Caused By Mold Spores In The Air?
My girlfriend and I are worried we may have mold in our condo we rent. Ever since living in the condo the past 5 months we have experienced abnormal acne where before we lived there it wasnt a problem. Could this be a symptom of mold spores in the air? The kitchen sink has backed up recently and flooded the kitchen and we believe this has been an ongoing issue over the years yet we were never aware until the property manager mentioned it to us now. We are really concerned on not only our acne but our overall health

Acne has nothing to do with mold or mold spores.
You have not mentioned about your age. Usually Acne is due to excessive secretion of the sebaceous (oily secretion of skin) glands present in the facial skin. Sometimes, for some individuals acne appears also over upper back, upper chest and around shoulder and arm. A bacteria also plays a role in acne formation. This sebaceous secretion is influenced by the androgen secretion which is at the high tide during the teens and early twenties.
In elder people it may be due to some drugs like oral contraceptives, steroids and also due to some applications.
So think in this line and seek the help of your Dermatologist, he/she will help you in this regard. Avoiding constipation by drinking adequate water and taking greens, vegetables and fruits and diet contains the saturated fatty acids will help in controlling the Acne.
It has nothing to do with the molds.
